A Nigerian soldier, Bilyaminu Ladan Mada took to Facebook to share his thoughts about privacy in a Muslim marriage.



The soldier stated that God permitted men to marry up to 4 wives if they wish to.



Bilyaminu also stated that God forbids a woman from checking her husband's phone, while he can check hers. He said the reason for this, is because the man is at liberty to marry more than one wife.



He wrote;




Good Afternoon ladies and gents. Sorry, I just want to drop this here. For the Muslims, God the Almighty permit a man to marry up to 4 wives if he so wish and can do justice. So dating a lady outside doesn't mean/qualify that am cheating on my wife. For the fact that she is the only one at home shows that I can bring three more.

Cheating is when u are having extra marital affair pls. Ladies that feel their husbands are cheating on them because they are dating another girl aside having them as wives, my question to u is "is ur husband having 4 of u?"

Also note, it is forbidden for a wife to check her husband's phone but very much allowed for a husband to search his wife's phone. The reason is "he is at liberty to marry more than a wife, so is possible he has a girlfriend and if the wife see their chat or messages, she will be hurt.

So to avoid violence, God forbids her from checking his phone. But for the husband, he can check her phone because she only belong to him and it is believe she does have any secret to hide from him in that phone that will hurt him. So pls lets understand.

Manchester United chief executive, Ed Woodward's home is now being protected by police after angry fans attacked his Cheshire mansion on Tuesday night.



The attack was done by about 20 balaclava-clad supporters who are said to be members of United's notorious 'Men In Black' hooligan firm. The fans launched fireworks and a smoke bomb before spray painting his gates red in protest of how he has been running the club since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.







Luckily for Woodward, 48, his wife, and their young twins were not at home when the thugs attacked the property.







Cheshire Police have now launched an investigation after the attack by hooded thugs



In a statement, Police said: "At around 10.45pm on Tuesday, 28 January, Cheshire police were notified of an incident of criminal damage that had taken place earlier this evening with a large group targeting a property in the Nether Peover area,"







"Thankfully no-one was harmed and officers will liaise with security officials over the coming days to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and identify those involved."



Manchester United in a statement condemned the "unwarranted attack" and threatened to ban those involved in the act.



"We know that the football world will unite behind us as we work with the police to identify the perpetrators of this unwarranted attack," the club said.

"Anybody found guilty of a criminal offence, or found to be trespassing on this property, will be banned for life by the club and may face prosecution.

"Fans expressing opinion is one thing, criminal damage and intent to endanger life is another. There is simply no excuse for this."

Italian football club, AC Milan paid an emotional tribute to Kobe Bryant in a spectacular way before and during Tuesday's Coppa Italia clash with Torino at the San Siro.



Kobe, who grew up in Italy between the age of 6 and 13, was a strong Milan supporter, with Marco van Basten being his idol. The NBA legend died with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, along with seven others in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California on Sunday, January, 26, 2020.





Before the clash between AC Milan and Torino, the words 'Legends Never Die' and 'SempreKobe' - a play on the 'SempreMilan,' or 'AlwaysMilan,' hashtag often used by the club, were displayed on the advertising boards around the San Siro while images of Bryant were shown on the giant screen during the warm-up period.



As soon as teams came out for kick-off, the stadium light went off as the public announcer paid tribute to Bryant while fans applauded and held up phone lights. The song 'Who wants to live forever' by Queen was then played.



Both teams also wore black armbands. And in the 24th minute, fans around the stadium including a supporter who wore Lakers jerseys with Bryant's name on the back stood to applaud in tribute to Bryant, who wore No 24.

A great number of people all over the world have put up posts to mourn NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and the other people who died in the helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.



However, some critics opposed the overwhelming show of pain, especially coming from those who never knew him personally and who didn't celebrate him while he was alive. They accused those mourning him of hypocrisy and trying to do things because it's trending.



Responding, Toke Makinwa, wrote: "Before you criticize people for mourning a legend they haven't met or paying their respect to Kobe, before you comment foolishly, think about your life, your work, your message to the world and hope that when it's your turn to go the world will feel your departure."

Three herdsmen responsible for high profile kidnapping in Enugu, arrested by the police

Three herdsmen who are allegedly responsible for some high profile kidnapping in Enugu State have been arrested by the State's Police command.



The suspects identified as Adamu Mohammed (AKA suleiman) from Taraba state, 25 years; Musa Ibrahim from Katsina State , 28 years and Dauda Alhaji from Nasarrawa state, 31 years were arrested at their various hideouts in Ebonyi State on the 18th and 22nd of January.



The suspects who were paraded at the Enugu State Police headquarters, were accused of being responsible for the kidnap of Rev. Fr. Cyprian Ugwuanyi, the parish priest of St. Paul Catholic Church, Ogbosu Umulokpa in Uzo-Uwani LGA of Enugu State on January 10 along Ezeagu/Uzo-Uwani road in Olo Village at about 5:30PM, the kidnap of PDP women leader in Igbo-Etiti LGA, her son and her driver along Enugu/Ugwogo/Opi/Nsukka road on December 21, 2019 at about 7:30PM, the kidnap of Mr. Ejike Ugwuanyi on January 14, 2020 at Obollo Afor and one John Okoli, his mother and two sisters at the boundary between Umumba in Ezeagu LGA of Enugu State and Ebenebe village in Anambra State.



One AK47 riffles, eleven rounds of live ammunitions and three locally made long guns with eighteen live cartridges were recovered from the suspects.



Speaking to newsmen while parading the suspect, the Enugu State Police Commissioner Ahmed Abdurrahman said;




“The command pursued the suspects vigorously to one of their hideouts and recovered a GSM belonging to one of them. We trailed them and arrested them at their various hideouts in Ebonyi state.

“They will be charged to court immediately investigations are concluded by the command."

Kobe Bryant to be inducted into Hall Of Fame in 2020 Class

The Basketball Hall of Fame has announced that they will bypass the normal election process and induct NBA legend Kobe Bryant Into Hall Of Fame.



In a statement released by Shams Charania of The Athletic on Twitter, he said the Hall of Fame chairman, Jerry Colangelo has confirmed that Bryant will lead the 2020 class, which could also include Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett.



Kobe Bryant will be a first-ballot enshrinement into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class of 2020.



"Expected to be arguably the most epic class ever with Kobe, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett," HOF chairman Jerry Colangelo says. "Kobe will be honored the way he should be."



Bryant will be part of standard Hall of Fame screening process on Wednesday, with finalists in February at All-Star break and formal inductees at the Final 4 in April.

Nicki Minaj's brother, Jelani Maraj sentenced to 25 years in prison for raping his stepdaughter

Nicki Minaj's brother, Jelani Maraj has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for repeatedly raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter.



Jelani who was handed his jail sentence by Judge Robert McDonald in a New York court on Monday January 25, was found guilty of predatory sexual assault against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.



Though Nicki Minaj's brother repeatedly denied the allegations, claiming the story was concocted to extort his famous younger sister, his stepdaughter took the stand in a 2017 trial to narrate how he raped her in their Baldwin home while he was married to her mother.



He was sentenced to 25 years in prison, two years after a jury handed down the guilty verdict for the sexual abuse which began in 2015.

29 dead, 195 infected as Lassa fever spreads to 11 states – NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the casualty figure in the recent Lassa fever outbreak across the country as it activated a National Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) to coordinate response activities on Saturday January 25.



NCDC DG, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu said 195 confirmed cases and 29 deaths were reported in 11 states as of January 24. Two Kano health workers were also confirmed dead in the recent outbreak in which 89% of the confirmed cases are from Ondo, Edo and Ebonyi.



Ihekweazu said;




“Over the last three weeks, NCDC has deployed Rapid Response Teams to support five of the affected states”, the agency said.

“The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire led a high-level delegation to Kano State on the 25th of January 2020, following the deaths of two health workers infected with Lassa fever.

“In addition, NCDC has rapidly increased risk communications and community engagement activities to ensure that Nigerians are aware of the risks of Lassa fever and measures to protect themselves.

“There has been a decline in the case fatality rate of reported Lassa fever cases from 23.4% in 2019 to 14.8% this year. NCDC continues to support treatment centres across states in the country to effectively manage Lassa fever cases.

“In addition, five laboratories in Nigeria have the capacity to diagnose Lassa fever in Nigeria. These laboratories are critical to reducing turnaround time between identifying a suspected case and confirmation.

“NCDC and the three main treatment centres in the country – Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Federal Medical Centre Owo and Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital Abakalilki – are set to commence Lassa fever epidemiological studies that will provide data to guide research and response activities.”



The National EOC includes representatives from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Environment, World Health Organization, UNICEF, US Centers for Disease Control, and other partners.

A British pensioner who has been blown away by love is planning to wed her 35-year-old Egyptian toyboy despite the age difference between them.



80-year-old Iris Jones who met Mohamed Ahmed Irbriham on Facebook fell for the jobless man the first time she saw him when she flew to Egypt last November.



After four days together, the pair even tried getting married in Cairo but they couldn't as she didn’t have the right paperwork. Now, Iris, who has since returned back to the UK, is now saving up to travel back to Egypt to wed her toyboy despite opposition from her family.







According to her, Mohamed isn’t after her money nor is he seeking a passport to Britain.



She says: “If he’s marrying me for my fortune he’ll be sadly disappointed because I live on a pension. I don’t suffer fools gladly. I’m honest and I’m truthful and I told him straight away he couldn’t be a freeloader.



“In Egypt we were quite frivolous, going out to the best restaurants all the time and we split everything 50/50. He’s even said he’ll sign a pre-nup because it’s me he wants – not my house.



“I’ve spent years making other people happy, now I just want to marry the man I love before I die. I’ve always been a bit of a rebel and he’s just perfect for me.”







On the day they first met at the Cairo airport, Iris said: “I was shocked by how tall he is,” she says.“He’s 6ft 2in and I’m a foot smaller but he just gave me a huge hug.”



She said a few hours later they made love and that moment made her felt like a virgin again.



“It was incredible. I felt like a virgin again. It wasn’t easy but it was very loving and romantic.



"My ex-husband said I was frigid when we divorced 40 years ago but I now know I’m certainly not.”



Iris lives on £200-a-week pension and disability benefit. She also has a £220,000 bungalow.







As for Mohamed, he is currently jobless. He quit his job when his boss refused to give him time off for Iris’s visit and has insisted that he is not interested in Iris for material gain.



He says: “This is not about money. Money is not everything. It cannot buy you happiness.



"Love has no age and knows no limits. Iris and I found we understood each other well and felt the tenderness. I do not care about anyone’s opinion – only what feels good to me.



“Iris is wonderful, understanding and compassionate. We share the same views about lots of things. I’m not interested in Iris’s money.



I work as a quality inspector in the field of welding materials and travelled to many countries.



“It is not right people look at everything through materialism. If they do, they have no feelings.”







Iris defends Mohamed, saying: “We are absolutely equal in every way. He’s not using me. If anything I’m using him because my love for him is selfish – I’m not going to let him go.”



She also disclosed that her sons are not happy with her decision to marry Mohammed, but she doesn't care.



Iris says: “Steve heard Mohamed and I on the phone.He could see how well we got on, how happy he makes me. He’s a bit wary but I’m sure, given time, he will accept Mohamed as a father.



“But Darren is worried Mohamed is just after my money and we had a big row which resulted in me asking him to leave the house. We have made up since, but I’ve asked him not to talk about it – I don’t want to argue.



“Mohamed’s never asked for money. I don’t have any. I’ve done a lot for my boys over the years and I want them to understand that it’s time for me to be selfish now and look after myself.”



The couple “met” last summer through a Facebook page. They began messaging each other and, two weeks later, Mohamed proclaimed his love and jokingly referred to her as “wife”.







Iris says: “I asked him, ‘What do you want an old biddy like me for? You’ve not met me, you’ve never touched my skin or looked into my eyes’.



“But he told me I was a wonderful charming lady who he loved to bits. Slowly, I started to feel the same and then he sent me a picture of himself and I thought, ‘Ooh, you’re gorgeous’.



“We are both Virgos. I think that’s why we get on. We are soulmates. He’s a very intelligent man and was looking for an intelligent woman. I don’t look my age and I’m fit and healthy, but it’s definitely a case of brains over beauty.”



She also expressed her joy when she met her prospective mother-in-law, saying: “She was marvellous and glad her son had found the woman he’d been looking for. She said age was just a number. We got on like a house on fire.”



Iris and Mohamed even went to the British Embassy in Cairo, where they attempted to quickly get married. But she didn’t have her divorce papers and they also needed a certificate of no impediment to show there was no barrier to getting married. “When they said we couldn’t get married I howled,” Iris says.







“We went to see a lawyer to find out what paperwork we need. The lift was broken but Mohamed is so wonderful he carried me up four flights of stairs.”



He’s amazing in every way... almost. His English isn’t amazing and he can get words mixed up, but who needs language when you are in love?”



Son Darren said: “I’d rather keep my views to myself. I just want to stay on the fence. She’s old enough to make her own mistakes.”
